Take a minute...

... Look around you. Actually, don't. Close your eyes and let your surroundings sink in. 

Let them overwhelm you, let them be the dew that seeps into a plant's roots and makes them stronger. 

Open your eyes and see this place. The place you've seen since you first opened your eyes. See the streets you spent your afternoon's on. Playing hopscotch when you were an innocent child and later tried to decipher the meaning of growing up, still innocent as ever. The same streets you may have lost your innocence at. See the shops, the sights you never paid attention to and all those times your heart told you to stop and look you shrugged it away and said, "But these places aren't going anywhere." Right you were! They'r not going anywhere...you are! They'll always be there, but would you come back to see if they kept your word? See the place you call home.

See all those people who crossed your life cycle. See the friends, the foes and those you're still not able to classify. See the well-wishers, the caretakers, the guides. See those who stayed by your side. Glance at those who chose to leave, those who ran away and those who you drove out of your life. See the people you took for granted and those who took you for granted. See the laughter, see the tears. See the time you spent in this place with these people. 

See the world around you.

Well don't just see, that's what you've been doing all these years! Look! LOOK at the your world! And once you're done, be sure to embrace it, strong enough to take a part of this place with you, because things may never be the same again.

And now look ahead, because a part of what you're leaving behind lies inside you.
