Jerry: "Listen that doesn't make any sense. I think I'll skip school on Thursday then"
Harry: "Dude are you kidding me. If I stay home I'll literally die! Everyone one else would have it and it'll be all over my Facebook! This is torture!"
And this, is how we whine after finding out that we might get it a little later than the rest of the world. Nope. It ain't Pottermore and its certainly not the next Lawn Collection. This. Is the Re....the res...Oh Well!
The big R!!!
Anyone who ever went to school would know what I'm talking about. I hereby refuse to repeat it.
As my econ teacher drags on about Japan's economy and some Big Mac Index (or was it pac man?), I sit there repeating my usual thoughts to myself (in my mind, of course):
'I'm so dead! My papers were horrible. Oh curse those stupid, Goddamn Chicken Pox, its all because of them! Who am I kidding I didn't even study that well. What the heck am I gonna do? I haven't even given SAT. I'm such a dud, I totally hate myself!'
And so on...
During Math, these thoughts are shared:
Blossoms: "Listen if we die today...it won't even matter. Everyone's still gonna say, 'bechara itna acha tha. Grades weren't so bad either."
Bubbles: (ignoring that Blossoms just hoped for death) "I want the (uses R word) to die OK! I hope it perishes from existence or something."
Sam, another friend of mine (I have VERY COOL friends btw :p), shares a tradition with me. We don't use the R word before its worth mentioning. Neither do we talk about it.
BUT EVEN HE MENTIONS IT THIS TIME!
All he has to worry about is whether he should even collect it in the first place, while he packs his bags for College (Masha Allah).
As for me (in case I haven't talked about myself enough already), I'm not expecting anything this time. I'm literally blank.
But for myself and all those who pace around their houses today, I would just like to quote something a very wise friend of mine said (after I ate her head last year),
"Tasmeena, always say good things. You have no idea when Allah might listen to you. Don't take chances."
- Namrah Asad :)
So tonight, we shall speak good and pray for EVERYONE!
P.S. I'm still VERY scared!
well written : ) and best of luck, inshaa Allah would be great for everyone : ).
